Kent Gardens Recreation Club

The idea for KGRC was hatched in the springtime of 1956 and the club was established and open in 1957.  KGRC is a member owned and operated non-profit. The club is managed by an elected Board of Directors.

KGRC is proud of our friendly and community oriented membership.  The club sponsors a number of social activities throughout the season in addition to providing a swim team, dive team and swimming lessons.

Club hours:
 

Memorial Day Weekend - June 23rd: 11:30 - 9:00* weekends, 3:30 - 9:00* weekdays
June 22nd - Labor Day: 11:30 - 9:00* daily
Adult Swim - June 22nd - Labor Day: 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays

* The pool itself will be closed at 8:45 PM to provide the guard staff the required time to perform closing procedures. Members are welcome to use the rest of the facilities until 9:00 p.m.

Please Note that the pool is closed during swim and dive meets and will not be available for general use during the following periods:

• Mondays: June 20, July 11, July 18 from 5:30 p.m. to closing
• Tuesdays: June 28, July 5, July 19 from 5:30 p.m. to closing
• July 31 from 4:00 p.m. to closing for year end Swim/Dive team function

Swimming lessons:

Session one begins Monday, June 27th. Classes will be held in the morning, Monday through Thursday, from 10:30-11:00 and again from 11:00-11:30. Each session consists of eight half hour lessons for a total cost of $55. Registration sheets for Session I will be posted at the pool during regular pool hours beginning on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Payment for the classes is required at the time of registration. Class space is limited and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Session two will begin July 11th. Additional sessions will be considered based on demand. Questions? Please contact the manager on duty at the pool.
